Here's a closer glimpse of a ConnDOT/New Haven FL9 at the Harmon shop complex.  ConnDOT, in a classy move, painted all of their FL9s into the colorful McGinnis paint scheme once they were rebuilt in the 1980s.

Metro-North's New York operation also got their hands on some of the FL9s, with some going over to Long Island, and the others being used on the Hudson and Harlem lines.  This paint scheme actually suits the FL9 quite well.  Unfortunately, a few of these units made it into M-N's latest "stealth" silver and blue scheme.

This FL9 is parked at M-N's Croton North yard, which is located a short distance north of Croton/Harmon station.  Apparently, this unit had been sitting here for some time after coming back from Norfolk Southern's Juniata shops, where it had received repairs to fire damage.
